Storm Warning, Cinque Terre. SOLD!
My large watercolor painting entitled "Storm Warning, Cinque Terre" sold just before our Dover Art League show went up, but the buyer was kind enough to allow us to include it in the exhibit. The show came down this week and yesterday I delivered it to their door. People asked me if it was hard to part with this one and I had to say that actually, it was not. That's part of the process of painting -- creating something I love and putting it out there for others to enjoy. Selling my work allows me first of all to make more (supplies are not cheap) and also allows me to pay the rent in my studio and put money aside for future trips for new inspiration and making more paintings! I am honored that someone liked my painting enough to hang it in their home and share it with their family and friends.
Limited edition prints of this painting are available.
Stop by the studio sometime - on the 2nd floor of the Riverwalk Center for the Arts, 4 Park Avenue, Milford, above the Mispillion Art League and Angelucci Studios and Artists Gallery. I have original paintings and Bob's photographs, framed and unframed and limited edition prints - plus little things notecards and Sweet Peas. I'm there from 11am-4pm Wednesday to Saturday and by appointment if those times don't work for you. I also welcome commissions - if you have a photograph of a favorite place I could create a painting of it for you.
You can also visit the other artists in the Studios Upstairs like Joan Frense Mulholland, The Pearl Lady (recently featured in the News Journal!), Betsy Rybczynski, Beth Gilbert, Olaive Jones, Paul Jones (no relation) Nelson Wegman and new to our group - photographers Marc Cleary and Lisa Swartzentruber and printmaker Mark Harris!
And don't forget Anne Jenkins just around the corner on N.W. Front St. and Art Ramble a year-round self-guided art tour throughout downtown historic Milford! There's just so much happening in historic downtown Milford!!
Happy rainy Sunday.
