Day 28 - A Painting a Day

From a photo of Jessica's that she asked me to paint.

I'm afraid I'm a day behind on my postings - I actually finished this yesterday in my studio. I had started it  on Saturday but I didn't like how it turned out. I worked on it some more today and think it's OK. I used acrylic and gouache for the touches of white (or is that also acrylic? I forget now!)

Her photograph was full of light and shadow and I'm not sure I pulled it off exactly as I had hoped, but I think it captured some of that feeling. What do you think?
