I loved these white flowers that I sketched in my journal on our tript to Puerto Rico last year. I decided to create a tighter watercolor using that sketch as reference. I do like the looseness of the original sketch but I also had fun with this today.
In the journal I used pen and ink to define the flowers but in this 8x8 painting I created my composition in graphite and used color and shadows to define the edges.
What do you like better?
