Watercolor Journaling Workshop, Decatur, Illinois
The Watercolor Journaling Workshop I taught in Decatur in conjunction with our joint exhibit at Anne Lloyd Gallery in the Madden Center was a hit! Thirteen people attended the one-day class held at the Rock Springs Nature Center, organized by the Decatur Area Arts Council.
We started out indoors for lessons and exercises before heading outdoors to journal. Everyone had a great time. The location is amazing with many subject to focus attention on and many said they would continue journaling and would go back to that location with their artist friends to sketch and journal. How rewarding for me, to spread this joyful activity in other places far away from home!
Tomorrow we head to Vermont for a little vacation and to enjoy the fall colors. While I'm there, I will present a watercolor journaling workshop at Cosmic Bakery and Cafe - owned by Pam McCarthy who is our friend April's sister. Pam is opening her home to Bob and I and we are grateful for her generous hospitality. Can't wait!!
