Our Joint Exhibit in Decatur

Our joint exhibit "Travel Art: Italy and Beyond" opened at the Anne Lloyd Gallery at the Madden Center in downtown Decatur, Illinois on September 2, 2011 to a very good response! The local paper ran a few "teasers" in the days leading up to the Opening and then a really nice article all about us and our work, the day of. Sue Powell, director of the gallery and her crew did an amazing job of organizing and hanging the show. Refreshments were all Italian-inspired and a musician played the piano in the large exhibit space.

 A very enthusiastic crowd attended and listened intently as we talked about our travel experiences and our work. All in all, it was a great night! All work is for sale and will remain up until the 29th of Septmeber when we will return to help take it down. There are already enough people signed up for the Watercolor Journaling Workshop on October 1 for it to "go" so I am now looking forward to that, which will take place at the Rock Springs Nature Center near downtown Decatur.
