Problem Solved!

We finally figured out how to fix our other blog's problem. When we tried to delete the ads from the sidebar we ended up losing our profile and Archives at the same time! After countless letters to the Help Center and trying everything we could think of, we read about fixing this type of problem by selecting a new template (which was really the same layout as the old one) and replacing it. All the same information that was in our old blog is now in the new format, with archives along the side as before -- even though it looks exactly the same! It was very scary thinking we could lose all this stuff with one dumb mistake so we also found a company that will back up the blog and now all is well.
