Good Friday

Little Nun, Good Friday, Enna

ItalianNotebook.com today has a "note" about Good Friday in the far west Sicilian town of Trapani. It was contributed by Janice Robinson, a painter, currently renovating a house in Sardegna. I wanted to share it since it has some terrific photos of the festival and an explanation of the procession, where men from the town carry not only one statue, but a grouping of statues of the 14 stations of the cross on floats covered with flowers - all night long throughout the streets of the town. When we were in Sicily we saw the Good Friday processions in Enna, in itself a long drive from where we lived in Marina di Ragusa on the south east coast of the island but well worth the trip. Here are links to our photos and stories of that day and a wish that this Easter season brings you joy and peace. Enna, Good Friday and Good Friday in Enna 4.14.06

Happy Easter! Happy Spring!
