Welcome (back?) to my USA Blog

 

Hello dear friends! 
Welcome newcomers!

 

It's been quite some time since I posted here. I've been so busy these past few years and posted regularly on Facebook, it didn't seem important to post here. But lately I've felt the need to spend less time on Facebook but to also keep you updated on my artistic journey. If you follow me there, you know what I've been doing and where I've been. If you're new to my life and work, welcome to my blog. 

This is called "Live Cheap and Make Art USA" because it is my second blog. The first was my Italy blog - the one Bob (my late husband) and I kept in order to document the two years we spent living in Italy. That one was called simply "Live Cheap and Make Art." A funny name, I know, and one that always gets a chuckle out of folks. The name referred to our desire to live a simple life, focused on making and appreciating art, and to dedicating ourselves to collecting memories and experiences, rather than a lot of stuff. 

I lost my Bob in December 2015 to cancer. He is still sorely missed, but my life and work go on. He was a talented photographer, retired Firefighter, Photo teacher and all around great guy. We were together for nearly 50 years. My life is not the same without him but I try to find things that bring me joy. 

I hope you will subscribe to this blog and follow my continuing journey with art. I'm planning on adding posts from this past year - 2024. There have been too many years since my last post to try to catch you up on those missing years. I hope to continue doing interesting things so that you will find it worthwhile to follow me.
