Sketchers Delaware

Fellow sketch enthusiasts and artists Niki Rose Chester, Rebecca Howell and Vivienne Cameron from New Castle County, Jan Crumpley from Kent and myself and Morgan Golladay from Sussex, have formed a group to encourage others to come out and sketch on location with us and then share what they've done with each other and online. Our intention is to raise the artistic, storytelling and educational value of on-location drawing, promoting its practice and connecting people around the world who draw on location where they live and travel.



Sketchers Delaware is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to fostering a community of artists in the First State who practice on-location drawing.



We are considering whether we want to form an official Delaware Chapter of Urban Sketchers* but at any rate, we plan on offering Sketch Crawl Events on the second Sunday of every month in each of the 3 counties of Delaware, alternating among them, searching out interesting locations that offer a variety of sketching opportunities.



Oh! And by the way, there’s no fee to join, no meetings to attend, no major commitment except to come out and sketch with us and have fun!
