Made in Italy

Bob and I are excited to tell you we will be part of an exhibit at The Los Gatos Company and Gallery, 17 1/2 N. Santa Cruz Avenue, Los Gatos, CA 95030, T. (408) 354-2433, organized by the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade. Products from 70 emerging Italian companies will be presented in top stores in 18 states across the nation!

In addition to the Los Gatos Company in California, some of the other stores selected for this promotion are "Nest" in Dallas, Texas, "Poggi Bonsi" in Burien Washington, "A Mano" in Washington, DC, "24e Style" in Savannah, Georgia, "Bell'Arte" in Scarsdale, New York, and Trouvé in Phoenix. Arizona. Their store is the only one in the Bay area taking part in this promotion.

The show "Made in Italy" will be on display from April 23 to May 6th with a reception on Saturday, April 24 from 4-8pm. Bob's framed photographs and my journal paintings were "Made in Italy" while we lived there. My cousins Andrew and Marnie Bivetto own this delightful shop right in the heart of Los Gatos and we were thrilled that they asked us to take part in this show and sale of all things Italian. We were excited to see our friend Sylvia's company "Re.Leg.Art" included in the list of emerging companies. We met her in Perugia and I even had a lesson in making books by hand at her shop where everything is done with precision and care, with soft leathers, by hand, each one a piece of art. There are several ceramics companies from Deruta, bronze statues and many, many more.

Visit the website www.italiangiftware.com for more information. If you are in the Bay area, please plan on stopping in to the Los Gatos Company to see all the beautiful work "Made in Italy" that will be on display during this special promotion.

Here are two of our images that will be included in the show. Both my original watercolor and Bob's archival photograph depict a blue door and window in Cetara, a small town along the Amalfi Coast.
