Mispillion Art League's Print, Photography & Student Show

We had a great time at the Mispillion Art League's show this past Friday evening, March 7, here in our hometown of Milford, Delaware. The weather was wet and rainy but it didn't stop the folks from coming out to see what we had on exhibit and the place was packed with guests from 5pm to 8pm that evening. The MAL members all worked hard to make this a successful event and the teamwork showed. The rooms looked lovely with over 100 pieces of art on the newly installed picture moulding and lighting system that really showed it off beautifully. This is a terrific group of people and Bob and I are delighted to have found them. We are beginning to feel more a part of this community and especially this group of artists who welcomed us with open arms. I worked on the exhibit committee, helping to hang the show and Bob spent many hours helping put up the picture moulding and building the coat rack that came in handy the night of the show. Bob's photograph Carnevale, Acireale, Sicily was even featured in our local paper to promote the show! I'm also happy to report that I even sold a few of my prints so that was pretty exciting! The show will be up until the end of March. The gallery is located in the Governor Tharp building at 127 NW Front Street, in downtown Milford, on the corner of NW Front and Church Streets with parking in the back, Fridays from 4-6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12-3pm.

I borrowed this exterior shot of Mispillion's gallery from Downtown Milford Inc's blog
