Thoughts on Peace
Bob and I have been putting together a few new notes for italiannotebook.com and I realized that each had an aspect of "peace" to it. I looked up some quotes and wanted to share this with you.
If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.

Here's Bob with an Italian man we met in Assisi during the Marcia per la Pace (Peace March) in 2005. The man had given Bob the flag he wore around his neck and posed with him for this photo. One of our notes will be about the Peace March from Perugia to Assisi and should appear in September.
