I like this quote!

"Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love your Mark Twain quote and feel as if I am living it now.
When I was taking art classes one after the other two years ago I loved changing mediums. The idea of being able to mess up a whole room with oils or pastels appeals to me.
Just before leaving CA a lot of my art friends and fellow students were starting a similar studio.http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/Grass-Valley-CA/ASIF-Artists-Studio-in-the-Foothills/122547331091490 I miss those days but am sure I will get back to my creative efforts again.

I understand, since that's the way I felt before we left for our Italy adventure!

Your art will be there when you are ready - and know you will be filled with so many new experiences, it can only be even better than before. Do you do any watercolor journaling during your travels I wonder. That would be a great way to capture some of what you are seeing and keep your hand in your art as well!

Either way, happy travels!
