Saturday Farmers Market & Downtown Milford

I love the Saturday Farmers Market in downtown Milford (Delaware)! Everyone comes out to buy fresh, local produce and there are always pretty things you can't resist like jewelry by Zelma Nicholas or Beth Gilbert, or a bunch of herbs or fresh flowers. I always have to stop in at the Mispillion Art League to see what's new and walk down the block to Dolce Bakery for an iced tea, and maybe one of their yummy treats. Or just to say hello. I always meet people I know out on N.W. Front Street and I love all the comings and goings of a lively, alive, downtown. With some new stores either open or about to be, the Riverwalk Center for the Art's galleries and artist studios on the brink of completion, there is a buzz in the air that is palpable!

Here's a little "taste" of what downtown Milford looks like on a Saturday morning. See you next week!

Little Wagon Produce - they always have a great assortment

Fresh Produce!

The summer corn is always our favorite! Locally grown and fresh as can be.

My friend Zelma (also a member of the Mispillion Art League) - I love her big warm hugs and beautiful hand-crafted jewelry

Triple M Farms - how can you resist those fresh plants and warm smile!

Misty Morning Herbs - a terrific assortment

Dolce Bakery - THE place to go in Milford for coffee and delectable fresh baked goodies and a warm welcome, it's really hopping on Saturday mornings!

Chuck and Nick - their smiling faces greet you when you walk through the door at Dolce!

My friend Beth - another art league member who makes a lovely assortment of hand-made jewelry

Riverwalk Center for the Arts with the Mispillion Art League - open and operating - and Angelucci Studios and Artists Gallery - soon to be open - on the ground floor and the Artists Studios in the final construction stages upstairs

The Alley Art Gallery is the concept of the owner of the Antique Shop - fun and free outdoor art gallery to peruse!
